Village Development
One important part of our work is promoting village planning throughout the Kymenlaakso region. A village plan is a shared expression of the community’s vision for how the area should develop over the next 5–10 years.
The planning process invites the entire village to participate, including part-time residents. The plan should ideally be updated every few years. A village plan is also an important document when presenting the village’s activities to, for example, the municipality. In addition, a Leader group may require a village plan as an attachment to a funding application.
